Preparing For Your Appointment (Must Read)
All appointments begin with a fifteen minute consultation which will be used to assess your skin type according to the Fitzpatrick scale. However, there are a number of important factors to consider when booking an appointment for either skin rejuvenation or laser hair removal. Unfortunately, services cannot be provided to clients if any of the following apply:
Pregnant, breastfeeding, or lactating
Dermal Melasma
Lupus Disease
Skin type 6 (according to the Fitzpatrick scale)
Your skin will need some pampering and love before treatment. You will need to consider any medications you may have taken within the past few weeks as well as any tanning or sun exposure. Below is a guideline to follow:
Recently tanned skin (4 weeks after last exposure)
Sun exposure
Tan bed
Fake tan
Bleaching agents
Treatment with:
Anti-inflammatories (2 weeks after last use)
Antibiotics (2 weeks after last use)
Hydrocortisone (3 weeks after last use)
Accutane (6 months after last use)
Pro Active (3 months after last use)
Photosensitizing medication
Electrolysis (6 weeks after last use)
Wax, tweezing, plucking, threading (4 weeks after last use)
Within 24-48 hours prior to treatment please ensure to avoid:
Chlorine
Hot tubs
Hot showers
Use of any highly fragranced lotion on the area to be treated
Before the treatment shave the targeted area 24 hours prior to appointment. However, do not wax, use bleaching products, hair removal creams between treatments.
